Barcelona crush Elche 5-0 with ruthless second half at Martínez Valero
Raphinha and Fermín light up La Liga as Barça run riot in the second half.
Barcelona handed Elche a heavy defeat on the road, winning 5-0 at the Estadio Martínez Valero in a dominant display that showcased their firepower in the second half.
The visitors got off to a flying start inside 14 minutes when Raphinha converted from the penalty spot, slotting home coolly to open the scoring. Barcelona weren’t done there. In the 79th minute, another pinpoint cross from X. Espart found Fermín, who made no mistake in slotting his second of the evening. The result left Elche reeling and Barcelona fans in fine spirits.
Hansi Flick’s side ran out comfortable winners, with their clinical finishing and relentless pressure yielding a commanding victory. The result leaves the table updated after this round, though no standings snapshot was provided.
