Galatasaray defender Amed S.F.K. has completed a move to Amed, the Turkish Super Lig club confirmed on Saturday.

The transfer was finalised on August 16, with Amed announcing the arrival of the 20-year-old Turkish international.

S.F.K. had been a squad player at Galatasaray but was unable to break into regular first-team action under recent managers.

He made a number of appearances off the bench and in cup fixtures, showing promise but limited game time in the capital.

Amed sporting director Mehmet Yılmaz described the signing as a statement of intent for the upcoming campaign.

"We are building a squad with quality and character," Yılmaz said in a brief statement.

"Amed brings energy, discipline and experience beyond his years."

The move reunites S.F.K. with a familiar environment after his formative years in Istanbul football.

He has represented Türkiye at youth international level and is viewed as a potential long-term asset.

Amed finished mid-table last season and are aiming higher with several new additions this summer.

S.F.K. will wear the number five shirt and is expected to be available for the opening fixtures.

Galatasaray confirmed the departure in a short statement, thanking the player for his service.

"We wish Amed S.F.K. the very best in the next chapter of his career," the club said.

The transfer adds further depth to Amed's defensive options as they push for a European place.

S.F.K. is the latest young Turkish talent to move between top-flight clubs this window.

He will join up with the Amed squad immediately ahead of their pre-season preparations.
