A. Modica's brace and late winner sealed a thrilling victory for the visitors in the Clausura showdown.
In a pulsating La Plata derby at Estadio Juan Carmelo Zerillo, Gimnasia M. claimed a 3-2 victory over local rivals Gimnasia L.P. in the Liga Profesional Argentina clash. Modica doubled his side's lead just before halftime, capitalising on a defensive mix-up to round the goalkeeper and restore the visitors' two-goal cushion.
The home side responded swiftly after the break, with A. Auzmendi pulling one back in the 46th minute. M. Zalazar then levelled the tie in the 62nd minute, firing a powerful shot into the bottom corner following a well-worked counterattack orchestrated by L. Janson.
