Matías Vargas completes free transfer from Al-Fateh to Gimnasia M.
The Argentine forward has signed for Gimnasia M. after leaving Al-Fateh as a free agent.
Forward Matías Vargas has joined Gimnasia M. on a free transfer after leaving Al-Fateh, the clubs confirmed on Saturday.
The 28-year-old completed his move to the Argentine side following the expiration of his contract with the Saudi Arabian club, becoming a free agent.
Vargas signed outside the transfer window, with Gimnasia M. announcing the deal had been finalised on August 9.
The forward passed a medical and completed paperwork with Gimnasia M. ahead of the agreement.
He will now link up with the Gimnasia M. squad as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
Vargas previously played for Al-Fateh in the Saudi Pro League before becoming available on the open market.
His arrival adds depth to the attacking options at Gimnasia M. under their current coaching staff.
The club said the signing represents a statement of intent as they push for results in the new season.
