Noel Futkeu joins SV Elversberg on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt
Forward moves to Bundesliga side for the upcoming season.

SV Elversberg have completed the signing of Noel Futkeu from Eintracht Frankfurt on loan until the end of the season, the club confirmed on Thursday.
The forward, who has been training with the first-team squad throughout pre-season, will bolster the attacking options at the Stadion An der Straße as Elversberg prepare for their maiden Bundesliga campaign.
Futkeu came through the youth ranks at Eintracht Frankfurt and made his senior breakthrough in the 2023-24 season, featuring in both the Bundesliga and European competitions. His performances in the Europa League last term, where he contributed across the forward line, caught the attention of several clubs.

The loan deal includes an option for Elversberg to secure a permanent transfer at the conclusion of the campaign, providing the club with flexibility should the attacker impress during his time in Saarland.
Eintracht sporting director Markus Krösche confirmed that the move benefits all parties, allowing the young German to gain regular senior minutes in the top flight while continuing his development away from the spotlight in Frankfurt.
For Elversberg, the addition addresses a key priority identified by head coach Michael Kessler, who has been searching for depth in attack following their surprising promotion to the Bundesliga via the 2. Liga playoffs.
Futkeu's arrival adds pace and versatility to Elversberg's front line, joining a squad that already includes experienced campaigners. The 23-year-old is expected to make his debut in the coming weeks as Elversberg face a challenging opening fixture list.
The player himself expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity, stating in the club's official announcement that he is ready to fight for the badge and contribute to the team's objectives in Germany's top division.
Eintracht Frankfurt retain the player's registration and will continue to monitor his progress throughout the loan spell, maintaining the right to recall him should circumstances change during the season.
Medical formalities were completed on Wednesday evening, with the paperwork submitted to the German FA in time for the transfer deadline. The loan agreement runs through May 2027, covering the remainder of the current campaign and the entirety of 2026-27.
This marks another step in Elversberg's ambitious build-up to life in the Bundesliga, having already reinforced the squad across multiple positions during the summer transfer window.
