FC Porto dominate Académico Viseu with 3-0 victory in Viseu
André Silva, Gabri Veiga and William Gomes secure comfortable win for the visitors.

FC Porto secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Académico Viseu at the Estádio do Durival Moreira in the fourth round of the Primeira Liga. The visitors made light work of their hosts, with three well-taken goals ensuring a comfortable afternoon for manager Francesco Farioli and his side.
The match burst into life in the fifth minute when André Silva opened the scoring for FC Porto. The Portuguese forward made no mistake from close range after a well-worked move, slotting the ball past the goalkeeper to give the visitors the perfect start.
Seventeen minutes later, Gabri Veiga doubled Porto's lead. The Spanish midfielder found himself in the box and dispatched a composed finish, with the assist coming from Eduardo Gabriel Aquino Cossa, whose precise delivery set up the chance.
The hosts struggled to contain Porto's attacking rhythm, and their woes deepened just before halftime. In the 38th minute, William Gomes added the third goal, tapping in from close range after another well-crafted attack. Gabri Veiga provided the assist, highlighting Porto's fluid movement in the final third.

By the break, the scoreline stood at 0-3, leaving Académico Viseu with a mountain to climb. Despite the efforts of manager Bruno Pinheiro, whose side lined up in a 4-3-3 formation, they were unable to mount a meaningful response in the second half.
FC Porto, also deploying a 4-3-3 system, controlled proceedings throughout. Their pressing and positional play disrupted Académico Viseu's build-up, and the hosts struggled to create clear-cut opportunities of their own.
Referee M. Nogueira kept play moving smoothly, with few contentious decisions throughout the ninety minutes. No cards were issued, reflecting a match largely free of controversy.
The result leaves FC Porto in second place in the Primeira Liga table with nine points from three matches. Académico Viseu remain further adrift, sitting in twelfth position with just two points from their opening fixtures.
For Porto, the victory reinforces their early-season momentum under Farioli. The efficiency shown in the first half, particularly through Silva, Veiga and Gomes, will give them confidence heading into their next fixture.
Académico Viseu, meanwhile, must regroup quickly. With only two points on the board, they face a challenging path to climb the table, but there is plenty of football remaining in the campaign.
The Estádio do Durival Moreira hosted a lively crowd, but the atmosphere turned subdued as Porto's quality told. The visitors' clinical finishing ultimately decided a match that never looked in doubt after the opening half.
Looking ahead, FC Porto will aim to maintain this form as they continue their pursuit of domestic success. Académico Viseu will need to address their defensive vulnerabilities if they hope to improve their standing in the weeks ahead.
